Gallery 'Omni' exhibition until year´s end


It is a mirror that we have trouble buying it. The mirror is an attractive stuff in itself, and  it is used in everyday life. 'Look a mirror' which is held at Omni which is located Samsung-dong, Seoul and will last until December 31 is a mirror exhibition in which we can see the world of various and modern mirror.

There are two types of mirrors which are exhibited. One thing is mirrors that ordinary person can  properly choose as home props, and other thing is 'work mirror' such as a craftwork which shows better characters of exhibition. The interest of display is to search how do various artists realize the world of their works.

Lee Jonghwan, designer like the first generation of Korean interior designer, shows works which think outside the box by changing edge of the mirror. A work which is called 'A mirror for crazy wine collectors' can put a cork stopper in the bottle because a frame of mirror is lattice. It is a mirror to cherish one´s memory by putting a cork stopper whenever someone empties favorite wines.

The mirror whose border is made with legos present fun because intense and vivid lego frame goes with a mirror. The price of lego mirror is much more expensive than other things because it is made manually.

Jin taeok, fashion designer, designed a work(photo) which is made with a mirror of female shape with stainless steel not glass, and it is drilled a hole in a edge of mirror, and it is twined old necktie.

The mirror which is a work-cum-product of Omni Design which is interior design enterprise is made with marble frame, and it can used as a flowerpot because people can set out plants in the front of it.

There are about 50 mirrors which are a mirror which use roots of old tree, a mirror looks like a statue of people shape which is made by Kim Hyunjong who is a professor of Glass Crafts Department of Namseoul University and a mirror whose frame is made with a fabric,
and it is made by Han Hyeja who is a fasion designer. .Admission is free. (02)538-8224.
