Samsung is ranked 4th of the ten best innovation company. Apple which is at patent suit against Samsung, remained their best innovation image by holding the top rank of ten for the third year in a row.
According to Booz&Company, this year of evaluation targets included Samsung, are total 700 companies. Samsung is highly praised their new technology goods, so they are ranked 4th.
Especially, it is based on that Samsung commercialized OLED and NFC technology.
In the case of Apple, 80 percent of respondent supports Apple for the best innovation company. Apple is praised about innovation of integrating each different things into one field.
In this survey, we can point out that innovation is not related R&D cost. In fact, Apple is 16th of R&D cost ranked in world IT industry. On the other hand, Microsoft who injects enormous budgets into R&D ranked only 6th of the ten best innovation company.
An employee of Samsung said, "Through this survey, we reconfirmed the fact that Samsung is a world-class innovation company." and "Samsung will consistently keep going on innovation."

I'm always surprised that Apple is ranked so high. I don't think it's that they are the most innovative company, it's just that they are the most visibly innovative.
