A mail man caught a thief who pretended to be a owner of a house.


A thief who invaded a house made himself owner of a house, and received parcel post, but a mail man who provided strange feeling caught a thief by showing acumen.

The postal service administration of the financial department said that Mr. Kang, a mail man, went to Kum-Chun-gu to delivered mail at a house.

Mr. Kang delivered a mail at foreign person who got out of the house, but Mr. Kang felt suspicious about a foreign person, and phoned to A’s, owner of house.

A’s who answered the telephone said, “My house is empty, what are you talking about? I think a thief invaded in my house… please call the police and catch them…”

Putting down the telephone, Mr. Kang notified the police. Soon, when a thief got out of the house, Mr. Kang chased him.

Nevertheless Mr. Kang got behind in his work, he thought that he must chase a thief invaded in his customer.

A thief ran away very fast, but Mr. Kang didn’t give up chasing a thief, while he informed the police about a thief’s location.

During continual chasing, the police arrived. Finally, a thief was surrounded, and a thief was arrested by the police.

This happening was known by A’s daughter. She posted this happening in the postal service administration’s homepage.

The person in the postal service administration said that “Mr. Kang’s courageous behavior must win high praise, and we will award a citation to Mr. Kang.”

  1. Interesting story. It's fascinating that he noticed that something was wrong.

    When you say, "foreigner", do you mean a person who doesn't belong, or someone from a foreign country?

  2. When I read this story, mail man's conduct surprised me... foreigner is someone from a foreign country.
