‘Post-YuNa Kim’ SoYoun Park, Won Silver in World Junior Figure Skating Grand Prix.


SoYoun Park who is the rising star of Ladies Figure Skating won a silver medal in the World Junior Grand Prix series.

SoYoun Park, 15, who is called as a 'Post-YuNa Kim' ranked the second place in the International Skating Union (ISU) World Jnior Grand Prix (JGP) series held in Istanbul, Turkey.
She scored total 93.32(Total Element Score 47.10, Program Components Score 46.22) points in the fourth of the ISU JGP Ladies Single Free Skate on September 22. She totaled 144.77 points, including 51.45 for her short program on September 21. Therefore, she took the second rank behind USA’s Leah Keiser (156.33 points overall).
Her Junior Grand Prix silver medal is the highest score after the Figure Queen, YuNa Kim. Even though many Korean figure skaters got their names on the ranking before, but they were all bronze medals.
She first reached the World Junior Stage last year, and now, she is a leader of the rising figure skating stars who are going to lead Korean figure skating for the next generation.
In the fifth of the Junior Grand Prix on October, last year, she ranked number 6 overall, and only a week later she raised two places in her ranking, which together ranked number 4 in the second competition.
SoYoun Park who continued to gain ground while took the first rank in the prematch of the Junior National Athletes held in the last month, stands as a ‘Post-YuNa Kim’ after she got her first medal in this season of the Junior Grand Prix.

  1. I think that you did more work that you had to. For this assignment, I stated that you only needed to do a summary (not paraphrase/complete translation. However, doing more than required is not a bad thing :-) I obviously didn't make this clear because I'm adding this same message to many of the postings.

    Make sure to put blank lines in-between your paragraphs.

    "Post-" is used as an adjective, not a noun. I would suggest referring to her as the next Yuna Kim.

    "after the Figure Queen" -> "figure skating queen"?
